Dogtra

The electronic dog training collars are the latest craze of comfortableness in dog training. No longer do you need to whip your arm out of socket or injure your dogs neck by yanking on it. You merely press a button to give your dog the correction.

This is the latest in my review of the Dogtra brand of collars.

The Dogtra 280NCP is one of the more frequent collars of the new line of electronic training devices.

This collar has a sleek rounded design to the transmitter, featuring three buttons, a nick, uninterrupted and vibration only. It has a continuous dial to without apparent effort turn the stimulation up or down. The transmitter now has a LCD screen which shows the level at which you have the dial set for stimulation and the battery life remaining. This is in particular good if you are out training and you don’t want to be left with no power in the collar when you plan to train all afternoon.

The set is waterproof, permitting your dog to enter water without worry of ruining the collar.

The batteries on the transmitter and receiver are both rechargeable with a quick charge so it provides for years of operation from the same batteries.

I liked the lighted LCD screen so that when I was in a darkened area I could without apparent effort see what level I was training with and did not have to guess when I made adjustments to the training dial.

The ½ mile range is nice in particular if you are a hunter and your dog may have to track down a bird a lot of distance away.

I employed this collar to train and dog from the humane society for hunting.  What I did like was the to a complete degree waterproof capacity so the dog could go into the water after a bird and not be concerned regarding the collar being damaged

I also liked the lighted LCD screen so that I could tell the precise level at which I was training and the bars to indicate if I had sufficient battery life to keep going.  This was for a low to medium power so I used it on a dog that did not need more inviolable stimulation particularly when tracking a bird so that you may focus the dog’s attention.

Dogtra

Bark activated no bark collar for little to medium sensible dogs. Dogtra has invented a sound acknowledgement and filtering microprocessor that distinguishes a dogs’ barking from it is surrounding ambient noises.

5Finally something that works!!
By klad
We have tried everything with our wondrous dog who never barks.. except when we leave… we started by giving him chew toys, busy bone, ultrasonic bark device, relaxing music for dogs (I kid you not), a dog collar with a citronelle spray, a fermone spray for his bed, and then we got a dissimilar electric collar pet safe which ambed up the shocks which worked more or less but then our dog would howl when we leave.. it does not zap that kind of noise. After using this for a few years and looking at our dog howl more and more when we leave… after another set of batteries ran out… we purchased this one and oh my god it actually works. I think it’ the vibration warning a zap is coming which makes it such a success… as it’s a one two punch we necessitated to calm our dog down. For those of you who think this a bad for you dog… NO.. what is bad for your dog is straining his vocal cords all day and our neighbors nerves. Now he doesn’t even undertake to bark or howl when leave what a huge relief!! Worth each penny… I seldom review items only when they exceed my expected values and when I think an individual else could gain from it! PS it has speed charger just takes two hours to charge!

5Great product!

I’ve tried various no bark collars from dissimilar manufacturers. I in truth like this one best because it has a vibration feature that warns the dog before he gets barking. It is easy to adjust and is rechargeable. My dogs are barking herders and these work great.

5rechargeable battery
By John Jerome
I use this on a 14 lbs carin terrier. I choose this over the PetSafe brand because it comes with a charger that plugs right into the collar so no more batteries.
